The Port Austin Farmers Market will be hosting "Know Your Farmer, Know Your Food", an event centered around local agriculture. Huron County is home to many farms, large and small, raising a variety of crops and livestock. The average American is five generations removed from agriculture and many of us have questions about how crops are grown, what GMO really means, or what makes a farm organic, just to name a few. This event will feature a Panel Discussion with local farmers and market-goers are encouraged to submit their questions to the the GPAA Chamber of Commerce table at the Farmers Market through August 19th.
