The Port Austin Artist in Residence program is proud to present the 2nd annual Songwriter Showcase at the Port Austin Community Playhouse! Featuring performances by local favorite Nicholas James Thomasma, along with Nashville, TN based Rachael Davis and featuring the guests of the Port Austin Artist in Residence Songwriter Retreat weekend. Admission is $15. Doors at 6:30, show at 7pm.

Join us Saturday, August 17 from 3:30 - 5:30 PM in Gallup Park at an outdoor concert featuring the Bay Concert Band, directed by Nathan Snyder.  This orchestral/big band features 60 musicians from the Bay City area. Performing since 1977, the Bay Concert Band promotes music education for students in Bay City and opportunities for musicians to continue performing music throughout their lives.  There is no cost for this concert.  Don’t forget to bring a lawn chair or a blanket!

Port Austin Artist in Residence brings Port Austin a free rock concert to Gallup Park featuring Jedi Mind Trip!

Founded in 1996 Jedi Mind Trip has been rockin’ from Michigan to Florida and everywhere in between. Spot on vocals coupled with some of the areas greatest musicians makes Jedi’s shows like nothing you’ve ever seen.

Jedi Mind Trip has been one of Michigan’s best and longest lasting cover bands.
