OTHER SATURDAY EVENTS
Between Broomball games, aults and kids enjoy additional activities including tug of war and dodgeball.
Weather permitting, a variety of supplementary events, such as a snowman contest and iceskating.
Local businesses offer fun activities and special promotions, further enhance the festive spirit!
A cherished annual event, The Winter Carnival in Port Austin spans two days of exciting events with frosty fun and friendly competition!
CORNHOLE TOURNAMENT
Kicking off on Friday, the carnival begins with a spirited cornhole tournament, drawing over 20 teams vying for top honors and prizes. As the excitement builds, anticipation mounts for the main event on Saturday, featuring a lineup of thrilling activities sure to delight spectators and participants alike.

POLAR BEAR DIP
Held by the village docks (weather permitting), where brave souls take the plunge into icy waters. With safety paramount, Thumb area charter captain safety divers stand ready, ensuring a secure environment for all participants. Meanwhile, spectators gather to witness the daring feats and revel in the lively atmosphere.
BROOMBALL TOURNAMENT
At the heart of the carnival lies the beloved Broomball Tournament, a Port Austin tradition. Teams from near and far converge to vie for the coveted Broomball Trophy, engaging in spirited matches that captivate audiences throughout the day.
