Spring Street Boys 12th Annual Driveway Concert

The Spring Street Boys have been entertaining people in Port Austin and in the Thumb area with a nice mix of oldies and country since 2005, when they appeared at Port Austin's first ever Farmers Market. Brought together at market director JohnPridia's urging by Dennis Hafeli, who purchased a home in Port Austin in October of 2004, the band consists of several members from Detroit suburbs. Though several musicians have played with the band over theyears, the current group consists of Hafeli as lead singer, Greg Ganz and Arnie Besonen (a long-time local favorite) at lead guitar and vocals, Alan Hafeli on rhythm guitar, harmonica, and vocals, Art Dries on keyboard and bass, and Jim Nosakowski on drums. The band has appeared at the Farmers Market four times each year since its inception, and they are also seen each year at PACP's Great Event; Art in the Park; the PACP annual fundraising concert in August; and the wildly popular (300-500 people each year) End of Summer Concert onHafeli's driveway (111 West Spring Street) from 8-10 PM on Saturday of Labor Day Weekend.
