The Ersatz Brothers are a Michigan Thumb duo comprised of Jeff Guenther and Terry Ross that traces its origins to the mid-70s. Since then both musicians have had plenty of time to try to figure out how to play music.
Their repertoire consists of historical
music, much of it of dance origin, performed on fiddle, mandolin, guitar, pennywhistle, and harmonica - deftly paired with vocal solos and duets.
The Brothers are joined by local singer, guitar- and cajon-player, Steve Penn, who has spent decades covering unique singer-songwriter storytellers. This trio will have you tapping your toes and humming along with a variety of tunes you’ll likely not be hearing on the drive home from work.
