The musical group Silverwood Bottom Boys will be performing a selection of old time gospel music and hymns Live on Stage at the Port Austin Farmers Market on Saturday, July 20, 2019. The group was formed when Freddie Wilbanks (guitar) and Bob Garner (mandolin) met at the old Buick Motor Division. They played beside the free flowing water spring north of Silverwood, Michigan, thereby adopting the group’s name. From there they were featured at the old Garner Barn, retirement parties, birthdays, weddings, anniversaries, and ice cream socials. The group has also appeared at the Clio Amphitheater, Lapeer Pix Theatre, Octogon Barn, Frankenmuth and Caro Farmers Markets, and churches throughout Michigan.

Every Saturday during the Farmers Market Live on Stage! features live musical entertainment from the local area and throughout the Great Lakes region at the outdoor stage located at the north end of the farmers market on the east side of the gym.
