Live on Stage! Garry Valentine

Virtuoso guitarist and singer, Garry Valentine, will be performing a mix of classic country, rock and blues “Live on Stage” at the Port Austin Farmers Market on Saturday, Sept. 30, 2017.  

Singer, songwriter and musician Valentine comes from Gary, Indiana, where he started formal lessons at age 6 on five musical instruments before joining his first band at age 12. He has played solo and in numerous bands for over 50 years. After moving to Michigan in 1998, Garry worked with a number of groups before joining forces with Tom and Robin Moore in an association that grew into Ruby, T & Valentine, and they have played venues from Detroit to Kalamazoo to Port Austin and all points in between. Garry also has a side project with the Howlin' Baxters, a country/classic rock group of virtuoso veteran musicians based out of Macomb County. He also appears with the renowned Irish band the O'Dwyer Brothers, who are based out of Lake Orion, Michigan.

The entertainment runs from 10 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. downtown at the stage adjacent to the historic gymnasium during the Farmers Market.
