Arts & Culture

Arts and Culture are important components of everyday life in the Village and surrounding area. A community theatre downtown that offers year round events, an active arts group, annual art fair, artists studio tours, a beautiful new history center – all contribute to this atmosphere of community arts and culture.

Recently, Public Art has become a focal-point for several groups working on a variety of projects. One of them is the “ten barns in ten years” concept. The first two barn projects have been completed – one by the Hygienic Dress League on the Ziel barn on M-53 and Stoddard Road, and the second the “Emergency Ark” sculpture created by Scott Hocking on Fehner Road, near Oak Beach. The third is in the planning stages.
