Live on Stage! The Ersatz Brothers

The Ersatz Brothers will be the featured performers on the “Live On Stage” venue at the Port Austin Farmers Market on Saturday, August 19, 2017, as part of the “Know Your Farmer—Know Your Food” event.

The Ersatz Brothers are a Michigan Thumb duo comprised of Terry Ross and Jeff Guenther that traces its origins to the mid-70s. Since that time both musicians have had plenty of time to try to figure out how to play music. The repertoire consists of historical music, much of it of dance origin, performed on fiddle, mandolin, guitar, pennywhistle, and harmonica - deftly paired with vocal solos and duets.

The entertainment begins at 10 a.m. downtown at the stage adjacent to the historic gymnasium during the Farmers Market. Bring a lawn chair or blanket and enjoy the free concert during Market hours. In case of rain, the entertainment will be moved to the stage inside the gym.

The Farmers Market is sponsored by the Greater Port Austin Area Chamber of Commerce, which actively promotes the community and tourism in the Port Austin area.
